All through my education I always strived to get the “A”. To me, that grade objectively measured my mastery of a topic. Outside of academia we don’t have many opportunities to achieve a high GPA. There aren’t many measurements of our abilities such as leadership, problem solving and innovation. In our industry, however, Relativity does offer an objective measure of quality via its “Best in Service” program. Since 2015, Relativity has awarded Shepherd Data “Best in Service” for its performance. We feel we received an “A” from Relativity.
To achieve Best in Service, Shepherd Data passed a rigorous process including performance requirements via reporting metrics through the Relativity platform. Relativity evaluated our data center in three areas: infrastructure, service and expertise. In addition, Shepherd demonstrated its expertise and experience by providing customer references.
Relativity provides the following information about the program:
The Relativity Best in Service program recognizes Relativity Authorized Partners whose data centers provide an exceptional end user experience. Relativity defines a Best in Service partner as one whose data center exemplifies best-in-class Relativity delivery through:
- Proven customer satisfaction based on positive feedback from customer references.
- Staying current with Relativity releases, giving customers access to the most feature-rich tools.
- Extensively monitoring and maintaining their hosting environment, ensuring their system performance scores meet or exceed service delivery standards.
- Transparency about the quality of their service delivery via the Relativity Best in Service Trust site.
- Retaining Relativity-certified staff who demonstrate proficiency in Relativity administration and infrastructure management.
What this means for our customers is that they have an objective measure on how Shepherd Data runs its Relativity environment. The “Best in Service” program looks to things a customer may not consider such as whether we’ve implemented a backup plan to protect your data. Shepherd Data not only has extensive backups locally; we also have a secured backup site located in Ashburn, Virginia. Just in case a tornado barrels down Nicollet Avenue – it could happen and we’ve thought of that.
We’re honored and proud to have met and surpassed Relativity standards. We love getting an “A”.
