The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) Advisory Committee cut to the chase in their summary of the December 1, 2015 Amendments. They succinctly stated that the Amendments can be described in two words, cooperation and proportionality. And in one phrase, sustained, active, hands-on judicial case management.
In Six Months Later: Practice and Precedent– eDiscovery and FRCP, our event speaker, Christine Chalstrom, will examine recent practice and precedent in the implementation of the FRCP Amendments. She will address:
Takata Airbag’s ruling and redaction of information,
Henry v. Morgan Hotel’s decision disallowing discovery from plaintiff’s prior employers,
Bazzi v. YP Advertising & Publishing’s holding requiring metadata production, and
Other cases and what the future holds.
About the presenter: Chris has spoken widely on the Amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedures, Digital Forensics, and eDiscovery best practices. Her credits include presentations to the American Bar Association, Association of Certified e-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS), Corporate Counsel Institute, MN Association of Corporate Counsel, MN Association of Litigation Support Professionals, MN CLE, Mitchell Hamline Law School, Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute.
